You’ve received your ManageEngine licence file from Set3 Solutions — but what next? Correctly licensing your ManageEngine application is essential for staying compliant and ensuring your system continues to function without disruption.
This guide explains how to apply your ManageEngine licence safely and easily. Before you begin, please note:
- Do not edit the ManageEngine licence file — doing so will corrupt it and make it invalid.
- In most cases, the relevant service must be running before you apply the licence.
- If you’ve purchased a cloud application, your ManageEngine licence will be applied automatically in the background — no action required. You will receive an email from Set3 Solutions to confirm that your licence is active.

Once you have received your ManageEngine licence file from Set3 Solutions, simply choose your application from the on-premise list below and follow the relevant steps.
On-Premise Applications:
ADManager Plus
- Ensure ADManager Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) attached to the email from Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client as the administrator.
- Click the License button in the top-right corner.
- Click Browse, select the licence file, and click Upgrade.
AD360
- Ensure AD360 and its components are running.
- Download the licence file (
AD360-License.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the AD360 Web Client.
- Click the License link at the top.
- Browse and select the licence file and click Apply.
- Verify the licensing details and click Close.
ADAudit Plus
- Ensure ADAudit Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the Web Console as an admin.
- Click the License link at the top-right.
- In the pop-up, browse and select the licence file and click Upgrade.
- Verify the details and click Close.
ADSelfService Plus
- Ensure ADSelfService Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the admin portal.
- Click the License button (top-right).
- In the pop-up, click Browse, select the licence file, and click Upgrade.
- Verify the details and click Close.
ExchangeReporter Plus
- Ensure ExchangeReporter Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the Web Client.
- Click the License link at the top.
- Browse, select the licence file, and click Upgrade.
- Verify the details and click Close.
PAM360
- Ensure PAM360 Server is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click My Account > License.
- In the pop-up, select the licence file and click Upgrade.
Password Manager Pro
- Ensure the server is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click My Account > License.
- Browse and select the file, then click Upgrade.
ServiceDesk Plus
- Ensure ServiceDesk Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click the License link at the top-right.
- Browse to and select the file and click Apply.
- A message will confirm the upgrade and show the new licence type.
SupportCenter Plus
- Ensure SupportCenter Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Open the web client and click Help > License Info.
- Browse and select the file and click Apply.
- A confirmation message will appear.
AssetExplorer
- Ensure AssetExplorer is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click the License link (top right).
- Select the file and click Apply.
Endpoint Central
- Ensure Endpoint Central is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click License (top-right).
- In the pop-up, browse to and select the file, then click Upgrade.
- Confirmation will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Patch Manager Plus
- Ensure the service is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web console.
- Click the profile icon (top-right) > License.
- Upload the licence file.
Remote Access Plus
- Ensure the service is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) provided by Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web console.
- Click the profile icon (top-right) > License.
- Upload the file.
Applications Manager
Option 1: From Web Client
- Ensure the server is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) from Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click Settings > License Management.
- Click Browse, select the file, then click Register.
Option 2: Using License Manager
- Run
updateLicense.bat/.sh
from<AppManager_Home>/bin
(Run as Admin on Windows). - In the UI, click Browse, select the file, click Next, then Finish.
- Restart the server.
OpManager Plus
- Ensure the service is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) from Set3 Solutions. - Log in to OpManager Plus.
- Click the user icon (top-right) > Register.
- Select the file and click Register.
- Verify details post-registration.
Firewall Analyzer
- Ensure the service is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) from Set3 Solutions. - Log in to Firewall Analyzer.
- Click the user icon (top-right) > Register.
- Select the file and click Register.
OpUtils
- Ensure OpUtils is running.
- Download the licence file.
- Click the user icon > Register.
- Upload the file and verify the licence.
EventLog Analyzer
- Ensure EventLog Analyzer is running.
- Download the licence file from Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the web client.
- Go to Help > Upgrade.
- Select the file and click Upgrade Now.
DataSecurity Plus
- Ensure DataSecurity Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (
license.xml
) from Set3 Solutions. - Log in to the web client.
- Click License.
- Select the file and click Upgrade.
- Verify details and click Close.
