You’ve received your ManageEngine licence file from Set3 Solutions, but what next? Correctly licensing your ManageEngine application is essential for staying compliant and ensuring your system continues to function without disruption.
This guide explains how to apply your ManageEngine licence safely and easily. Before you begin, please note:
- Do not edit the ManageEngine licence file as doing so will corrupt it and make it invalid.
- In most cases, the relevant service must be running before you apply the licence.
- If you’ve purchased a cloud application, your ManageEngine licence will be applied automatically in the background: no action required. You will receive an email from Set3 Solutions to confirm that your licence is active.

- Select License, browse and select the license file, then click Upgrade.

- Ensure AD360 and its components are running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the AD360 Web Client.
- Click the License link at the top.
- Browse and select the licence file and click Apply.
- Verify the licensing details and click Close.

ADManager Plus
- Ensure ADManager Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the web client as the administrator.
- Click the License button in the top-right corner.
- Click Browse, select the licence file, and click Upgrade.

ADAudit Plus
- Ensure ADAudit Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the Web Console as an admin.
- Click the License link at the top-right.
- In the pop-up, browse and select the licence file and click Upgrade.
- Verify the details and click Close.

ADSelfService Plus
- Ensure ADSelfService Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the admin portal.
- Click the License button (top-right).
- In the pop-up, click Browse, select the licence file, and click Upgrade.
- Verify the details and click Close.

Analytics Plus
- Ensure Analytics Plus is running and log in.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Click Settings → License Management.
- Browse or drag & drop the license file, then click Apply License.
- Verify license details.

Applications Manager
- Ensure the server is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the web client.
- Click Settings → License Management.
- Click Browse, select the file, then click Register.
- Optionally, using License Manager: run
updateLicense.bat/.shfrom<AppManager_Home>/binas Admin, browse to the file, click Next, then Finish, and restart the server. - If there are any issues during this process, please contact technical.services@set3.co.uk
AssetExplorer
- Ensure AssetExplorer is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the web client.
- Click the License link (top right).
- Select the file and click Apply.

Browser Security Plus
- Ensure Browser Security Plus is running and log in.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Click the user profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select License, then upload the license file.

Cloud Security Plus
- Open Cloud Security Plus and click License in the top-right corner.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Click Upgrade Now, browse and select the license file.

DataSecurity Plus
- Ensure DataSecurity Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the web client.
- Click License.
- Select the file and click Upgrade.

Endpoint DLP Plus
- Ensure Endpoint DLP Plus is running and log in.

Endpoint Central
- Ensure Endpoint Central is running.

- Confirmation will appear at the bottom of the screen.

- Ensure EventLog Analyzer is running.

- Log in to the web client.
- Go to Help → Upgrade.
- Select the file and click Upgrade Now.

ExchangeReporter Plus
- Ensure ExchangeReporter Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Log in to the Web Client.

- Ensure Key Manager Plus is running and log in.

- Click License in the top-right corner.

- Ensure NetFlow Analyzer is running and log in.

- Click the user icon in the top-right corner and select Register.

- Click the user icon again to verify license details.

- Ensure ServiceDesk Plus is running.

- Log in to the web client.

- A message will confirm the upgrade and show the new licence type.

SupportCenter Plus
- Ensure SupportCenter Plus is running.
- Download the licence file (license.xml) provided by Set3 Solutions.
- Open the web client and click Help → License Info.
- Browse and select the file and click Apply.
- A confirmation message will appear.
