As of May 2022, ManageEngine has rebranded Desktop Central to a name that is synonymous with the length and breadth of what they’re offering. The name Desktop Central has stuck around for 16 years, but with the evolution of endpoint management, it’s only appropriate that the endpoint management tool become Endpoint Central, and this name change applies to all Desktop Central products (Cloud and MSP).
What does this mean for Desktop Central?
ManageEngine assures that this is only a name and logo change; there is no change in how the product works nor any impact it will have on your business with them. All relevant contact information remains unchanged, so there is no need to be concerned about the rebranding.
I bought a licence for Desktop Central will that still work for Endpoint Central?
Yes, any licences that were purchased under the name of Desktop Central will still work for Endpoint Central. This goes for all versions (Cloud and MSP) and all editions, so you have nothing to worry about when importing your licence for Endpoint Central.
What’s next?
Over the next few months, you’ll see our collaterals aligning around this new direction. You’ll start to see the name change in your installations but be assured that your instances will be intact. While the name has been retired, Endpoint Central will continue to hold on to the spirit of a performance-led business. Look forward to what Endpoint Central has in store for the future!
